The Final Push

2 days remaining (adjusted to final test date - saved 9 days over October 2009 estimate)
Mood - Good
Study Time – 1.0 hours (402.5 total - FAR: 122.0 - BEC: 74.5 - REG: 118.0 - AUD: 89.5)
Scores:  AUD-94, REG-97, BEC-93

It is really easy to study when you don't have much to do.  I didn't put much into tonight.  I reviewed a minor point on pensions, reviewed the foreign currency stuff, and reviewed the reconciliation of government-wide financials.  Tomorrow I'll hit up the ratios.

Thanks for the emails of encouragement over the past two days.  My inbox started to explode Sunday and I've enjoyed emailing with many of you.

  1. Good Luck! I have to admit, you give me courage and the strenght to continue, thank you! I am sure you will do well, good luck!

p.s. Lecture 5; I came across at least two questions that I believe that I got the right answer, but the solutios are incorrect incorrect with the wrong dates. Did you notice this?

  2. My previous comment is confusing, sorry! What I mean is that the solutions provided are based on a different date that the date provided in the questions.

  3. There is a correction with dates for one question in FAR-5 in the updates. There are usually one or two issues with the questions in most sections. I know I identified many in REG and reported them. They are pretty good about getting the updates posted quickly. You can find the updates for all the FAR stuff here:

  4. Dale,

So thus far do you think that FAR is the "hardest" section of the CPA exam?

Furthermore by completing two lectures weekly by following becker do you think that this moves to fast?

  5. Too fast or not too fast....that is a hard one to answer. For AUD, REG, and most of BEC it was fine. It is a busy schedule certainly but doable. I know at work they set crazy goals all the time and we almost always manage to pull it off. You find a way to make it happen. FAR is 9 lectures. I would love to do one per week but that means it would take 2+ months to get through FAR. By time you got to the last lectures you would have forgotten the stuff from the earlier lectures. My schedule was really set by the live class schedule I was signed up for. It was hectic, but I've been too busy to realize the insanity of it all until it was almost over.
